Give 5 Productions Hosts Two Family Friendly, All American Evenings with Private Picnic Areas and a Unique Lineup of Live Music & Entertainment Acts

AURORA, CO (June 24, 2020) – On the evenings of Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 the 48,000 square foot outdoor field west of Stanley Marketplace will space out 10 X 10’ private picnic areas for guests of all ages to enjoy non-stop live entertainment and dinner and drinks over Independence Day weekend.

Per Gov. Polis’ June 15 announcement (source: CPR News) 175 people are allowed per 11,300 square feet in outdoor event space. The west field is over four times that size so guests will be comfortably spaced out with a minimum six feet wide walking lanes in between each reserved area.

In addition to standard COVID-19 precautionary safety measures, masks will be required at any time guests are outside their private picnic areas.

Stanley Marketplace at 2501 N. Dallas Street Aurora , CO 80010 is home to over 50 Colorado businesses including Comida, Mondo Market and Rolling Smoke BBQ These three restaurants are offering pre fixe menus with adult and kid options for the two day event. These dinners are included in a flat ticket price and will be ready for outdoor pickup at spaced out times throughout each evening.

The family-friendly entertainment lineup includes positive messaging hip hop duo, The Reminders, patriotic tribute show from Vintage Touring Acts: The Beverly Belles and The Honey Taps, Latin band TBA, and headlining Disney Cruise Line comic Heath Hyche.

Drag Queen Dixie Krystals will sing The National Anthem on July 4 and University of Northern Colorado Faculty Member and Denver Theatre Favorite Jalyn Courtenay Webb will sing the Anthem on July 3. Drag Queen TBA will perform July 3.

The picnic area will be open from 5 - 9:30 p.m. on both nights and will begin with DJ music from Rev. Corbin Tobey-Davis of The SPACE. Tobey-Davis will also lead dialogue surrounding the challenging times we are facing as a country.

"We've had to scale back a lot of events in light of the recent shutdown," said Bryant Palmer, chief storyteller at Stanley Marketplace. "But we are very lucky to have a large, beautiful field on our property where we can gather safely and socially distanced. We're excited to celebrate July 4 weekend with Give 5 Productions."

“With everyone looking for a chance to get out of their homes in a safe, responsible way, we are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity to do so on not one but two dates,” said Julia Tobey, Give 5 Productions founder and producer. “We want to recognize and honor the struggle we face as a country right now while also offering a sense of escape and enjoyment. These dates will also help to support the retail, restaurant and entertainment industries after a devastating few months.”

“In this particular moment in our country’s history, we are faced with the reality that we have not fully lived into our founding values,” Corbin Tobey-Davis said. “As we gather together to commemorate the Fourth of July, we are reminded of the beauty of this vision, and the work that lays ahead to make the vision of the United States a reality for all people who call this country ‘home’. This celebration of music and culture from some of the diverse backgrounds of our communities will highlight a part of what makes our nation so great and inspire us to keep moving forward on the journey to become the land of equality, freedom, and justice.”

Tickets include a private picnic area all night long and the option to add a pre-ordered dinner from the Stanley Marketplace participating restaurant of their choice. Maximum guest count per picnic area is ten people. No outside food or drink is permitted.

Tickets to attend or sponsor attendees deeply impacted by COVID-19, including front line and essential workers, artists, retail owners, are available on Eventbrite from $15 - 43. All ages are welcome. Children 0 - 3 years old are admitted free but must have a ticket.

Donations are greatly appreciated to help with event production costs, also payable via Eventbrite. Event producer Give 5 Productions is still actively seeking corporate sponsorship.
