“Hamilton” Star Headlines Variety Show in Denver

Drag Queens, Circus Acts and Entertainers join together to support Local Gay Youth

DENVER, CO - April 9, 2019 - Give 5 Productions, a live music and entertainment company, announces second annual “Fabaganza” variety show on Monday, April 22, 2019, with doors at 6:00 PM and show at 7:00 PM at The Clocktower Cabaret in downtown Denver. Proceeds will benefit the GLBT Community Center of Colorado’s youth division “Rainbow Alley” and will feature a variety of drag, circus, and musical numbers pushing the boundaries of gender confines.

The list of performers includes Gregory Treco, Aurora, CO native and star of Broadway’s Hamilton, aerialist Staza Stone from Phantom Circus, drag queen Jessica L’ Whor, The Beverly Belles - a vintage-inspired female singing trio performing numbers from their new 1960s rock show, Shelvis - a female Elvis performer, BLACK IRIS collective - a new female singing trio DJ fusion band, Denver theatre favorites Shannan Steele, Kenny Moten, Markus Warren, Abby McInerney and others; and the evening will be hosted by drag queen Shirley Delta Blow.

Autographed items from Broadway shows, including Sara Bareilles’ Waitress, Hamilton, Wicked, Mean Girls, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory; signed Marlon Bundo book and items from local Denver retailers will be up for live auction.

Male DJs from TH Entertainment will slowly shed clothing throughout the evening based on donation level from the audience.

Guests are encouraged to bring cash as all tips will be directly donated to the Center. Checks are also accepted. Tickets for the show can be purchased through The Clocktower Cabaret’s website.

“I am so thrilled I get to come home to Colorado and support a cause that is so near and dear to my heart. Colorado is where I found myself and was uplifted by so many in the LGBTQ community. I am excited to help do some of the lifting now! As my boss Lin Manuel Miranda has said on all occasions, ‘love is love is love’,” Treco stated.

“We are so proud that our 2018 sold-out show raised $3,400 for ‘Rainbow Alley’ and the audience had a blast. Our goal is to make this year’s show even better and raise $6,000 or more. Having so many comrades in the show and my dear friend from high school, Gregory Treco, come home from New York for this night of shenanigans is truly icing on the cake,” said Julia Tobey, founder of Give 5 Productions, Fabaganza executive producer and BLACK IRIS collective singer.

The GLBT Community Center of Colorado is a nonprofit community organization dedicated to providing support and advocacy for Colorado’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) population. “Rainbow Alley” specifically caters to the youth ages 11 to 21.

Give 5 Productions gives 5% or more of its earnings to one non-profit organization every year and donates its time and services to produce benefit shows like Fabaganza on an annual basis. The company involves its artists, clients and social media following in the voting process for its beneficiaries and aims to have a true impact on its local and global communities. www.give5productions.com
