Give 5 Productions represents The Colorado Wedding Bands with the Biggest Hearts: Rockslide, Rocky Mountain Bluegrass, The Beverly Belles and more! Every time our clients book one of these ensembles, a portion of those sales is given back to our community to support the initiatives our clients and artists care about most.
At Give 5 Productions, we believe in the importance of giving back to our community and supporting the great organizations that are dedicated to making this world a better place! Every year we give 5 percent of our income to five nonprofits that have been nominated by our social media followings and voted on by the amazing Colorado Wedding Bands we work with.
This year our Denver Wedding Bands are proud to support our Veterans through a donation to Pin-Ups For Vets, an organization that raises funds with an annual WW2-style pin-up calendar, featuring female Veterans as the models. Pin-Ups For Vets has raised over $58,000 in donations for VA & Military hospitals! These funds are used to purchase new equipment and subsidize medical costs for our Veterans.
Pin-Ups For Vets Ambassadors also deliver their calendars to hospitalized Veterans across the US. Many of these Veterans do not have friends or family nearby and Ambassador visits are a welcome morale-booster in these often difficult situations.
As if that wasn’t enough, the organization ships care packages to deployed troops, makes visits to military bases, does pin-up makeovers for female Vets and military wives, and works with homeless Veteran shelters.
Pin-Ups For Vets Founder, Gina Elise, found inspiration for this cause in stories of Iraq Veterans returning home for medical treatment, as well as her grandfather who was a WW2 Army Veteran. The idea for these calendars came from her love of Pin-Up art and the morale-boosting Pin-Up depictions that were painted on the side of WW2 military planes.
“We are so honored to be selected by Give 5 Productions as one of their 2018 beneficiaries,” Gina said when asked about the pledge . “We are truly grateful for their support of America’s Veterans and Troops! Pin-Ups For Vets works to improve the lives of our service members and Veterans, and we can only do so because of the generosity of those who believe in our mission to give back to America’s Heroes!"
